We are a family owned business based in Melbourne

Meet the KinBox crew

KinBox is a small, family-run business based in Australia. We’re building this for our own families first – and then sharing it with yours.

Nathan – Founder

Nathan is the one who couldn’t stop thinking, “Why isn’t there a simple box that tells your next of kin where everything is?”

He’s spent the last decade building online products and systems, and has now channelled that same obsession with structure and clarity into KinBox. Nathan looks after product vision, marketing and all the little details that make the system actually usable in a real home – not just on a whiteboard.

When he’s not rearranging folders, you’ll find him hanging out with the kids, over-analysing spreadsheets, or walking Bailey.

Emily  – Operations

Emily is the calm, organised brain behind the scenes. She makes sure orders go out on time, stock is where it needs to be, and customers are looked after.

She’s the first to spot when something feels confusing or clunky, and pushes for simpler instructions, clearer packaging and a smoother experience from checkout to unboxing.

Emily’s also the unofficial “does this make sense to a normal person?” tester for every new idea.

Leonie  – Product Manager

Leonie looks after the actual guts of the KinBox system – the categories, checklists and wording that guide you and your next of kin through your information.

With a background in organising, customer research and product work, she’s the one who asks questions like, “Would your sister understand this at 2am on a stressful night?” and then rewrites until the answer is yes.

She works closely with Nathan on new versions, improvements and future add-ons.

Bailey – Chief Morale Officer

Bailey is the family dog and unofficial office therapist.

She has no real responsibilities other than reminding the humans to put their laptops down, go for a walk and occasionally throw a ball. But she does a surprisingly good job of keeping spirits up when there are boxes everywhere.

We’re a small team, but we care a lot about helping Aussie families feel more prepared and less overwhelmed. Thanks for being here at the start of KinBox – we’re excited to grow this with you.
